Moroccan antique Wood Lamp, Wooden Lamp Shade, Mashrabiya Hanging Lamp, vintage wooden Pendant Light/handcraft Decorative Ceiling Lamp, Hand painted AntiqueLam, Muqarnas wooden lamp

What is the "Muqarnas"?

The muqarnas, a Muslim variety of stalactite vaults, are a primary characteristic of Islamic architecture.

Developed during the mid-tenth century in both northeastern Iran and central North Africa, two ends of the sprawling expanse constituted the Dar al-Islam, the muqarnas, with its honeycomb texture, became a common feature in palaces and temples.

In our digital manufacturing world, it’s hard to imagine these intricate, perfect geometries were made by hand, one unit at a time, hundreds of years ago.

This is a rare Three-dimensional wooden lamp piece.

Made by hand in Morocco, Marrakech (exactly) in 1960 and maybe earlier.

Where 2 of difficult woodwork combined Mashrabiya (on the side like small windows) and Muqarnas (on the top "the cover in green")
Authentic rare Moroccan hand-painted lamp in green and red (the color used in Marakshi Palace like in Bahia Palace)
